Your tasks will include preparing qualifications, proposals, presentations, thought leadership articles, as well as managing event activations, award submissions, and social media content.

Your success will stem from your storytelling skills and proficiency with creative tools like InDesign and Microsoft applications. You should demonstrate strong writing and graphic design abilities, along with excellent organizational and project management skills. You will be part of a team of content marketers who are passionate about sharing Gensler's best stories about the impact of design.

Your Role

Need to be excellent communicators, proactive problem solvers, and action-oriented team players, aligning with their level of experience. They must be dedicated to internal client service, maintain composure under pressure, and possess a positive, adaptable, "do whatever it takes" attitude. Career growth opportunities depend on personal initiative, deepening understanding of our business, and the ability to directly influence the success of our marketing initiatives. Exceptional performers may find special opportunities in practice area strategy, utilizing writing, graphic design, and strategic skills.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with Principals and senior staff to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials in line with Gensler’s brand standards.

  • Research and identify potential project opportunities by monitoring tender portals, client websites, and industry news.

  • Develop bid strategies and coordinate the creation of high-quality bid submissions.

  • Collect and organize all relevant bid documentation, including architectural plans, specifications, and other project details.

  • Coordinate and write compelling bid content, showcasing company’s capabilities, expertise, and unique selling points.

  • Update and maintain information in the firm’s database and CRM tools.

  • Participate in and lead strategy and planning sessions.

  • Facilitate workshops and strategy meetings to enhance the firm’s market positioning and visibility.

  • Coordinate business development activities, including researching new leads, following up, tracking their status, and developing new materials to support these activities.

  • Coordinate various PR activities such as internal events, external speaking engagements, award submissions, and media outreach.

  • Understand company’s evolving portfolio, practice areas, capabilities, and service offerings.

  • Collaborate with company's regional and firmwide marketing community to bring a local perspective to global messaging and adapt global content for local/regional relevance as needed.

  • Work with studios to coordinate photo shoots of completed projects.

  • Write case stories on projects and bios on team members.

  • Assist with external award submissions and the development of public speaking content.

  • Support social media strategy and management.

  • Manage other responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role within a design or professional services firm.

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.

  • Experience independently managing significant marketing projects, coaching colleagues for presentations, and collaborating closely with Principals and senior staff on marketing strategy and deliverables.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories, presentations, and marketing materials.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.

  • Experience working directly with senior staff on critical projects with minimal supervision.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Ability to work with diverse project teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • High proficiency in InDesign is essential.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is beneficial.

  • Knowledge of photography coordination/curation and digital asset management is preferred.

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools is advantageous.

  • Experience in the A/E/C or property industry is a plus; experience in an architecture or design firm is especially valuable.
